Applying machine learning on Otitis media diagnosis
Middle ear infections (clinical term: Otitis media or OM) affect about 11% of people worldwide every year. The diagnosis is difficult even for experienced clinicians. A multi-national study of pediatricians and general practitioners showed that the average diagnostic accuracy for cute otitis media and serous otitis media using video otoscopy is only 51% and 46%, respectively. AntibioticX team is developing a machine learning model with MobileNet to increase the diagnostic accuracy to 75% or above.
Nano-silver liquid bandage
Nano-silver based liquid bandage could be a replacement for triple-antibiotics ointment. We use a bio-synthesis method to create nano-silver from lemon leaves and then mix it with PVP to form the liquid bandage.
